 +**ADOPTION OF PROPOSED AGENDA:**

 +Chris Mason made a motion to adopt the agenda as presented. ​ Libby Bond seconded the motion. ​ Mayor Walter Turner voted in favor. ​ The motion passed.

 +**BUSINESS:​**
 +
 +Census 2020
 +Mr. Antonio “Tony” Valadez presented information on the importance of participation in the census to the local governments. ​ People being counted in the census directly affects federal monies distribution to all areas throughout the country. ​ Taylor County has had a very low participation rate in the last two census’. Mr. Valadez encouraged Council to get involved and get the word out about the Census and the importance of being counted. Mr. Valadez discussed the Complete Count Committees and the members that should be at the table for those meetings. He also made suggestions on ways to get information out to local citizens.

 +After a brief discussion on the need to purchase equipment for the Public Works Department, Libby Bond made a motion to use the cash received from the sale of City land to purchase outright a mini excavator from Heavy Machines, Inc.  Chris Mason seconded the motion. Mayor Walter Turner voted in favor. ​ The motion passed.
